Just an interesting article I read about Ivo Watts-Russell and 4AD. Has some interesting things on the record label as an aesthetic and part of the art (as well as physical media like vinyl packaging) though sometimes at the cost of artistic expression. I like a lot of 4AD releases with bands like Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil, Red House Painters

I think Watts-Russell shares the kind of ‘taste-maker- influence/platform as John Peel

I think as a label they are one of the most influential on music I enjoy.
