Sample Searching

For the spaces of my paper I was searching on YouTube.

I used some videos of slow tv channels, what are essentially field recordings with video, often of moving transport like trains, going from station to station.

This was inspired by the KLFs Chill Out, what was one of the major inspirations for my audio paper.

A theme I wanted to evoke in the audio paper was sampling not only as a folk tradition (and general remix culture) but as an act of resistance and radicalism. I think this also works better in drawing the parallels between land ownership and sound/music ownership.
