Language & Symbols
As part of the idea of a padlock/ combination system for a seed like random generation system I was thinking about stepping away from numbers and leaning more towards abstract symbols.
For aesthetic inspiration I took out a book from the library on Alchemy and Mysticism.
It links quite strongly to the software instruments ive been researching for my essay. The aesthetics of obscurantism.
Assyrian Tablets, Hieroglyphics, Runes, etc.
Maria showed me a book that was in the sound office that was just what I was thinking about.
I planned to create a symbol system that would be on the front of the books that make up the Library of the Labyrinth.
I experimented in Adobe Illustrator and Asesprite (the software I use for pixel art) to create some symbols
However, as I went along i realised that this was maybe too much of a distraction away from the sound elements.
