Foley Session

In response to our crit on the 13th of March Me, Juice and Maria booked out the foley room to try and record some foley for our game. We asked the VR team for a list of sounds and Juice and I came up with this asset list:

Once we had recorded the specific sounds that were requested, I thought it would be a good idea to record material sounds based on collisions such as wood and metal.

In the asset list, I identified the types of sounds that I thought we would need:

Interaction – sounds made on player interaction.

Collision – sounds made when colliding (hitting) other objects/surfaces

Autonomous – sounds created by the object itself (without player interaction) such as a wind turbine moving in the wind, or a radio – a source emitting sound by its own accord or agency.

We uploaded the sounds recorded to a folder in our google drive folder, to be edited and used later in the project.
