Voice

For part of this lesson we experimented with the voice and performance.

When I was younger I did a bit of performing in the form of dance (as I was asked to at school) I didn’t really care about dance so I suppose that’s why I wasn’t so self-conscious about it. I do like performative vocals in music. I just feel a bit uncomfortable about recording myself.

The techniques we covered reminded me of sound poetry (Hugo ball, Dada) what might link to collage as an element to my piece, chopping up peoples speech from many sources (film, YouTube music etc.) to form my script, and to link with the element of copyright and plunderphonics. This would take a while to find all the words though.

This would as a product, remove the connection to the self what wouldn’t really reflect an autoethnographic observational angle.
