The Burnt City – Punch Drunk

Juice and I went to The Burnt City.

Immersive Theater. The structure was quite interesting, walking around the sets that were well designed. At times it felt a bit awkward, as though I was in the way, or walking around, trying to find areas where the acting was happening. Over all I really enjoyed it.

The structure of it, and the focus on the audience’s ability to move through the sets (as opposed to the sets themselves being moved on a static stage) was very interesting, and more akin to computer games and reminded me somewhat of the game Tacoma, what was created by the developers of Gone Home, an early source of inspiration for our project.
